Candy Confetti

A gum which has a shell that is easy to break through with your teeth. When you reach the core you taste a blast of minty gum. Suddenly, it is chewy and has a long lasting taste. I was surprised how many candies and gums Mentos has made. This is surely a good one, but I have more to taste.

Who would have ever thought the inspiration of a bubble gum would be from an office supply? The Awesome Original isn’t too fruity and doen’t lack any taste. Its long lasting flavor keeps you chewing. The pink bubbles on the cover just temted me to buy it, since I wanted to see if I could blow those kind of bubbles. I’ve never really been an expert when it came to bubble blowing, but it’s a free country so anyone can try! Its bright pink shiny case always put me in sort of a happy mood. This gum is truly an original.

To me, this peanut buttery bar makes me think of it as a Reese’s buttercup trapped in its own kind of 3Musketeers. Its chewy,smooth peanut butter nougat goes well with the milk chocolate, but it might be hard for you to finish the whole bar. It was the first thing that got my attention. The first thing I thought of was”Reese’s Buttercup transformed into a bar?! Who ever thought that would be invented?”. Yeah, that’s what makes me excited.

A  candy only for sweet lovers. It’s one of my childhood faves. I even used to eat it by color ,because I wanted only one flavor at a time. I used to think it would make me smart but come on, you’ve got to cut me some slack, I was only around 4 or 5 years old. The way it was wrapped reminded me of Tootsie Rolls which are one of my mom’s favorites. After you bite the Smarties about 3 or 4 times the crumbs become some sort of powder that melts away leaving sort of a smooth texture of sweet taste. Now that’s the brainy part about Smarties!

 What better way to eat candy than from your own personal container?! They also came up with a new one that I checked out at Ralphs. There are many other species too. I guess candy is a man’s best friend. Plus, every parent must praise the person that created Pez ,since there are NO wrappers for you to leave on the floor!!!

To me the flavors taste like….

Lemon: A sort of tangy and sweet candy which sort of intrieges me with it’s sunshine yellow.

Cherry: The neon pink, fruity flavored cherry pez, has a nice smelling aroma.

Grape: My fave. Sweet,sweet, and sweet, but doen’t taste like grapes at all.(Duh)   

All of the flavors leave some broken pieces and a lovable after taste that makes you want more. Keep a lookout for those furry guys because you might just spot one at the supermarket.

For people that don’t like too spicy or hot minty gum ,well this is YOUR ticket to paradise. A sweet minty gum that relaxes you as you chew,chew,chew. You see Stride gum everywhere, gas stations, malls, cashiers by the supermarkets, so there is always a chance. It gives you that sweet PIZZAZZ to give you that extra boost you need to accomplish your day.

To tell you the truth…. dark chocolate never really appealed to me, because usually the candies that have dark chocolate seem to overpower the taste of the other things in the candy. Instead, the rich dark chocolate bar with the chewy mint filling balances the taste of the dark chocolate, also leaving a cool breeze in your mouth as you suck the air in. This candy bar is a win-win!!!

Not only does that silly Scooby-Doo face with his tongue out on the box make that candy maniac inside of you tell you to buy it, but all the colors too. Who doesn’t stop to look at a yellow Freddy, an orange Velma, or a blue Scooby-Doo?! It’s not too dry and it doesn’t have too much fruity liquid inside. It is quite a good texture when it hits your mouth. For once why don’t you cut the maniac inside of you some slack. You can find the little packs in cashier shelves. You can even show your mom and dad how it says excellent source of Vitamin C on the package so you can get some candy. That will be our little trick. Remember always show the healthy side of candy to parents so you can get away with it. Or you can go ahead and spend all your allowance on candy and make your mommy and daddy mad. (JUST KIDDING)!!!

  OMG!(gasp) Um…. I think this is the part where you say “NO WAY, this candy looks awesome”. CAUTION: you must be a SOUR loving person to eat this candy. Knowing me, oh heck I’ll try anything. I mean, who can resist buying that blue round box with the words ”Ragin’ Blue Raspberry” and “6 feet of candy”?! Come on, they should just save their time and print out the word “HEAVEN” on it! Plus the color sort of interests you, don’t you think? I picked mine up at Jon’s. It was practically calling out to me. At least, I think it was.

STOP!!! Don’t automatically bite it. If you know about Now and Later then you would know that automatically biting it would be an amateur’s 1st move.  When you pop it in your mouth it will seem hard and tough, but later on it does have a soft side towards your mouth. Many flavors to choose. As you see the wrapper it does look like a Starburst candy, but you’ll be surprised that it’s NOT the same. It starts out hard( SO DON’T BITE IT, SUCK IT INSTEAD) then it becomes soft for you to chew, chew, chew away!!!  You’ll get used to sucking some of the flavor out of it, and then leave the rest of the work to your jaws.
